The sidewalks were filled with fun and scary characters for Downtown’s annual Trick or Treat. Many stopped by to enter our annual 2022 Downtown Halloween Costume Contest.

Age 9-11:
1st Place: Nora, 10, Steampunk Butterfly
2nd Place: Abby 11 Mary Poppins

2nd Place: Mia, 12, Hippy Chick

1st Place: Zhaine, 15, Queen Bee

The winner in each age group receives a Downtown Kid Meal, an Albany Carousel token and a ticket to The Pix Theatre. The runner-up receives a movie ticket. The 15+ winner will receive $25 in Downtown Dollars. The group/family receives a Downtown gift basket.
The winners are selected by the public and are the contestants whose photos receive the most likes and shares on Facebook.

Lots of families joined our Halloween Downtown Scavenger Hunt finding posters in as many at 40 Downtown member businesses. Each poster found gave participants one chance to win.
Our winner, selected by a random drawing out of 953 chances, was Cohen S. She receives a $25 gift certificate to enjoy a movie and treats with her family at The Pix Theatre. Alexander B was the winner of the second chance drawing from those who colored their entry. Chloe’s Choice went to Valerie O. They will each receive two carousel tokens.
