Albany Downtown High School Board Member Opportunity

The Albany Downtown Association is seeking applications for youth members of our Board of Directors. We are looking for a dedicated, insightful and creative individual from each of our three Albany high schools to serve a 12-month term (July 2025-June 2026) with full board responsibilities excluding voting privileges.

Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 to 9:30 am in Downtown Albany. All board members serve on a committee (Design, Economic Vitality, Outreach or Promotion). Committee monthly meeting dates and times are provided in the application packet.  Applicants must be in good standing with their school and complete an application and an interview, as deemed necessary.

2025-26 Timeline

Applications Open:                      Monday, April 7th, 2025

Application Deadline:              Friday, May 9th, 2025

Application Review:                    Monday, May 12th, 2025

Interviews, as needed:                Week of May 19th – May 23rd, 2025

Selection Announcement:        Monday, May 26th, 2025

1st Meeting/Board Approval:    Thursday, July 10th, 2025 (Option to start in Aug. or Sept.)

Final Board Meeting:                  July 9th, 2026
