River Rhythms, Summer Sounds Return to Monteith Park

With the Monteith Riverpark on schedule to be open in July, Albany’s two summer concert series will return to Downtown in July and August 2024.

Each year, thousands of people gather to experience evenings filled with diverse music, entertainment and fun under the stars of the evening sky along the banks of the Calapooia and Willamette Rivers. Community members and visitors spread their blankets, pull up a chair and take time out of their busy lives to enjoy a night out with family and friends.

On Monday evenings, Summer Sounds brings a enjoyable mix of local and regional talent to the stage for a relaxed evening of entertainment.

Summer Sounds 2024

• July 8: Brewers Grade – Country

• July 15: The Steele Family Band – Blues & Jazz

• July 22: Tyler Stenson & the Black-Winged Birds – Counting Crows Tribute Band

• July 29: Michelle Lambert – Eclectic Violin

On Thursday evenings, River Rhythms returns for its 40th season delivering national talent to Albany! River Rhythms 2024

• July 4: Lee Greenwood with fireworks after the concert

• July 11: Super Diamond

• July 18: No Concert

• July 25: Tower of Power

• August 1: Thompson Square

• August 8: Girl Named Tom

All concerts are held in Monteith Riverpark, 489 Water Ave. NW, near 1st & Calapooia and just steps away from Albany’s Historic Carousel and Museum.

Chairs and blankets are allowed to be placed in the park after 7 am on concert days. There is no blanket-only seating area. Standard-height chairs are allowed.

A donation of $1 per person is encouraged. Seating can be limited. Plan to get there early to save your spot, then enjoy a picnic or patronize one of our Downtown restaurants before the show. The music starts at 7 pm.

On River Rhythm nights, look for more fun! Albany’s vintage trolley provides free rides to the park from a number of stops around Albany. There are food vendors and a beer garden. Children of all ages have hands-on opportunities to discover their creativity through preconcert art projects.
