Albany Open Studios Tour

The Albany Open Studios Art Tour & Sale takes place September 5–7, 2026, from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. The free, self-guided tour features 14 local artists at seven studios throughout the greater Albany area. Visitors can explore watercolor, acrylics, ceramics, glass, metalwork, jewelry, textiles, woodwork, rock art, and mixed-media creations; meet the artists; learn about their inspiration and creative processes; and possibly watch demonstrations.
Open studios trace their roots to the art salons of 17th-century Paris, where artists shared techniques, encouraged experimentation, and fostered creativity. The modern movement began with the Santa Cruz County Open Studios Tour in California in the mid-1980s and has since spread across the country. Oregon tours include Astoria Visual Arts Open Studios Tour in July, Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour in May, Northside Corvallis Open Studios Tour in April, Philomath Open Studios Tour in October, Portland Open Studios in October, South Town Corvallis Art Walk in December, and Albany Open Studios in September.
The 2026 artists are Leesa Bright, Cheryl French, Whittley Garcia, Lori Garcy, Jeanne Ground, Tom Hershberger, Carol Houk, Ronda Johnson, Melva Lehman, Rob Robinson, Hilda Rueda, Pat Spark, Steve Terhune, and Ute Vergin. Artist information and examples of their work are available on Albany Open Studios.
Visitors who tour all seven studios may enter a drawing for a gift basket containing original art and art supplies. Participants should collect one punch card at their first studio, have it initialed at each location, and submit it at the final studio. The winner will be drawn the week following the tour and notified by phone or email. Limit one punch card per person.
Keep connected through our Facebook and Instagram pages. A map of the tour is available for your convenience.
