August 4, 2023 Lise Grato

1st Friday in Historic Downtown Albany on August 4 will have some extra fun with Axe Throwing, lots of Live Music, a Prize Passport and more.

The Corvallis Contractor has partnered up with local contractors to host a block party from 3-7 pm. They will be giving out free hot dogs and burgers fresh off the grill.

Visit the Albany Downtown Association booth to grab your passport to collect stamps at the local shops. Bring the passport back to one of the contractor booths and receive a free cotton candy, kettle corn or beer (ages 21+) from The Garage beer truck, all courtesy of The Corvallis Contractor.

There will be free Oregon Axe Throwing from 2-5 pm and Live Music from Down N Dirty from 4-7 pm on Broadalbin Street.

Visit with a variety of local contractors for all your project needs, from roofing, kitchens, new home construction, cabinetry, custom blinds, painting, countertops, flooring or even a Tesla charging station.

There will be a jazz band at The Natty Dresser and an after-party at The Albany Eagles featuring Jefferson Parks!

With 16 participating shops, restaurants and businesses, there are lots of activities, specials and sales to check out. For the August map and all the event details, visit www.albanydowntown.com/events, www.facebook.com/1stfridaysalbany or stop by the ADA office.
