The Downtown Twice Around Parade rolls through the streets of Historic Downtown Albany on Saturday, December 5, 2026.  The parade starts promptly at 5 pm. Rain or Shine. Note: The 2026 Community Tree Lighting Ceremony is a separate event held on Saturday, Nov 28.

Entries typically include a Horse-Drawn Wagon, community groups, schools, businesses, and Santa riding on Albany’s Antique Fire Truck!

The parade route starts at the corner of Broadalbin Street and First Avenue, heads West down First to the post office, turns South (left) on Washington to Second Avenue, turns East (left) on Second to Broadalbin and North (left) on Broadalbin to First… then we go around again ending up back where we started at Broadalbin Street and First Avenue.

With an 6-block route, lots of front-row seating is available for viewing the parade. Second Avenue and Broadalbin tend to be more crowded, while First Avenue and Washington are usually less crowded.
