Albany’s Magical Pursuit: Harry Potter Character Hunt 2025

Grab your cloak, dust off your broom, and get ready for a spellbinding adventure through Downtown Albany!

The Albany Downtown Association invites you and your family to join Albany’s Magical Pursuit, a Harry Potter themed character hunt that turns downtown into a world of wizardly wonder. Search for Harry Potter inspired items-hidden in shop windows for a chance to win a Movie Night Prize Basket filled with Pix Theatre tickets, candy, popcorn, and more!

✨ How to Join the Fun

Starting Friday, October 17, begin your magical mission through Downtown Albany!

1. Get Your Entry Form
   Download and print your Magical Pursuit Page (2) or stop by the Albany Downtown Association Office (Monday–Friday, 9–5) to pick one up.

2. Hunt for Hidden Magic
   Take a stroll through Downtown Albany and keep your eyes peeled for iconic Harry Potter items from wands and spell books to owls, potions, and maybe even a Golden Snitch!
   Write down the location of each magical item you find on your entry form.

3. Enter to Win!
   Return your completed entry form to the Albany Downtown Association Office, or drop it through the door slot anytime before, Thursday, October 30, to be entered into a random drawing for our Movie Night Prize Basket complete with Pix Theatre tickets, popcorn, candy, and other treats perfect for a cozy night in!
