This month, we are proud to highlight Valeria J. Corona Vigil , our high school board member and a senior at South Albany High School. Valeria joined the Albany Downtown Association board last fall and will complete her term this summer. She also serves on the Design Committee and the Operation Christmas Tree subcommittee.
After graduation, Valeria plans to attend the University of Mary, a four-year university established in 1959. She will enroll in their year-round campus program, earning a bachelor’s degree in two years and continuing on to complete her master’s degree in education the following two years.
For her first semester of college, Valeria plans to study abroad in Prague, earning an associate degree with the help of scholarships.
Beyond Downtown, Valeria is a SAHS leader and has logged over 12,344 volunteer hours around the community.
We enjoy having Valeria’s voice and well-shaped ideas at our board and committee meetings.
