Spend Father’s Day in Downtown Albany

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15, and Downtown Albany is a great destination to find memorable gifts and enjoy quality time with Dad.

Many Downtown shops will feature Father’s Day gift ideas during 1st Friday in Historic Downtown Albany on June 6.

The Natty Dresser is stocked with a variety of items any dad would appreciate, including watches, bourbon chocolates, cologne, desk accessories, leather bags, apparel and hats.

Spend some family time catching a movie at The Pix Theatre, known for its extra legroom and classic charm. “How to Train Your Dragon” will show at 12:30, 3:45 and 7 pm. Advance tickets are recommended to avoid sellouts.

For something out of the ordinary, test Dad’s skill at the Enigma Escape Experience or get messy at Splatter Box. Reach for the brass ring on the Albany Carousel and tour the carving studio for a behind-the-scenes look.

Skip the stress of cooking by enjoying a meal at one of Downtown’s welcoming restaurants. For breakfast or brunch, check out Brick & Mortar Café, Jo Jo Mac’s, Margin Coffee Roasters or Pono Bowl Co. For dinner, choose from Calapooia Brewing Company, The Garage, Jinda Thai, Taqueria Alonzo, The Depot or Vito’s Trattoria.

Satisfy Dad’s sweet tooth with a treat from Sugar J’s Ice Cream Workshop, Hasty Freez, Jonuts, The Pix Theatre Café, the Carousel Café or Sidekicks Gourmet Desserts & Espresso.

And if Dad enjoys craft beverages, don’t forget to fill a growler at No Rails Ale House or Deluxe Brewing.
