Albany Downtown Hanging Basket Sponsor Program

The Albany Downtown Association’s Design Committee is currently planning for the 2024 Downtown Flower Basket season. Our sponsors are a big part of our success in continuing this program which brings smiles to locals and visitors.

Based on available funds, we order the flowers in January each year. Bauman’s Farm & Garden plant and grow them in their hot houses for delivery in mid-May. Then our amazing watering attendant water and fertilize them throughout the season.

The EarthPlanter hanging baskets we have been using for the past few years (with great success) have internal water storage, which means our watering attendants only need to water half as often as we used to. They also conserve water and reduce overheads. The planters are reusable but don’t have an infinite life. Maintaining the program means the periodic replacement of these wonderful but expensive planters.

Keeping the program functioning at the levels we’re used to is largely due to our sponsors, who lend their names and financial support to the project. The money we raise with this campaign will go to placing and caring for the 2024 Downtown Albany flower baskets. Our expenses for 2024 are estimated at $21,000. By participating as a sponsor, your organization will benefit from extended exposure through marketing campaigns and promotional efforts directed toward the supporters of the Downtown Flower Baskets. For a small donation, you’ll be able to enjoy excellent exposure to this important segment of your target audience.

We have three sponsorship levels, as detailed in the sponsorship commitment form. You can select the level of participation that best meets your needs and be secure in the knowledge that your sponsorship fee will be used to help the Albany Downtown Association continue to “grow” this beautification project.
